One Of my Friends wanted to surprise his wife with a Tattoo of her name on his shoulder, so he asked me to design it for him. Made a few designs, and at the end he went for this one.
My lovely city is burning, lost in the hands of terrorists, mischief, chaos and mayhem.
I'm so far away from this, yet my heart stays there, worried about my family and friends. I just hope all this comes to an end soon. And i hope that the proper authorities do something about it, before it all crumbles and falls, to protect our monuments, landmarks and heritage.
I had the chance to digitally paint this in France, have it printed and delivered in Lebanon.
It's a painting for : "Nancy and Abdel Ali" - "نانسي عبدالعلي"
Nawwer Darbon ( نور_دربن ) is an event that took place in Tripoli-Lebanon ( under the 3elmon Awlawiyeh movement ), celebrating Eid and raising awareness and funds for students so that would be able to pay their school tuition, by flying lanterns and showing these kids the way.
Shortly after this event,
Hayat Chaaban and I, decided to do something that would help raising this awareness, and send a message to the students.
So we made a Graffiti collaboration to help spread the cause:
"رب ميت قد صار بالعلم حيا ومبقّى قد مات جهلاً وعيّاً
فإقتنوا العلم كي تنالوا خلوداً لا تعد الحياة في الجهل شيّاً"
يحيى بن عديّ
And After 2 months we are still trying to raise the money to pay kids tuition, the best way to fight against ignorance and help Tripoli foster a better generation that will seek peace and education.
Anyone can contribute / donate, and if you can't donate, simply spread awareness by sharing the page: 3elmon Awlawiyeh
Help future generations create their future with proper education.
Help our city foster and prosper and Well educated men and women.
Help fighting ignorance and poverty.
Let's help them...
"و من التطرف ما قتل" - "Extremism Kills"
This is an old graffiti / calligraffiti that i made last year in Tripoli - Lebanon , before moving to France for academic reasons.
I've always hated the way some Lebanese think, they can be real extremists, and I still see that happening in my beloved country, every one is just sided with their sect / political leader, no matter what the leader does, they don't care, as if he's a holy entity that can't be doing anything wrong.
I hope all the Lebanese citizens would just wake up, and look at what we've come to, we need to act quickly, these politicians should pay for the damage that they are still inflicting to our beautiful country.
I dream about a day when Lebanon is Corruption free, and people respect and love each other, the 1st thing that we should do is stop being extremist, open our eyes and see the things from other perspectives, respect and love each other. And then we can all work together for the benefit of our Beautiful Country.
"I told my dreams to come and they grew bigger - قلت لأحلامي تعالي, فتعالت" at Paris - Belleville
it's a bit tricky to translate it because of the many uses of a word in the arabic language.
Just dream big, and work on your dream a bit daily, and one day you'll achieve it, no matter how hard it is, plan, work, decide wisely and pray, and one day you'll find yourself living your dream.
I don't know how long this graffiti will last over there because the walls over there are always being painted since it's a street legalized for graffiti. Everyone should pay this place a visit to see the various kinds of murals that are being painted every day.
